This course consists of the following: Mandatory and Option Units (to meet a variety of roles and responsibilities) in Childcare, Healthcare and Educational Settings. Mandatory Units:      Communication     Personal development     Child & young person development     Safeguarding     Equality and inclusion     Maintain and support relationships     Support positive behaviour     Contribute to the support of child & young person development     Contribute to health & safety     Contribute to support positive environments     Understand partnership working     Paediatric emergency first aid     Managing paediatric illness and injury     Maintain relationships  Option Units:      Develop positive relationships     Support the creativity of chilodren and young people     Support at meal and snack times     Support play and leisure     Duty of care     Support children's creative development     Support children's communication, language and literacy     Support individuals with disabilities and special education needs     Working together for the benefit of child or young person     Understand how to support positive outcomes     Understand the needs of individuals vulnerable, experiencing poverty or disadvantage  To achieve the full qualification students must attain a minimum of 35 credits in total.  This comprises of:      All of the mandatory units (31 credits)     A further 4 credits must be achieved from the Option Group  Units to be discussed with assessor and selected for the appropriate job role
