This course has a theoretical approach, offering a range of units to get you fully ready for working in the sector. Studying units such as; Equality and diversity and rights in care work and communication and supportive skills for care work alongside research for care, applied sociology, applied psychology and protecting self and others will give you a sound theoretical knowledge to progress your career or further studies. Coupled with the vocational practise and personal and professional development units, you will be fully equipped to apply for roles in Health and Social care or go on to degree level studies. There are also optional units on the course including; complementary therapies and promoting health and creative activities.
