As well as covering the fundamentals of science, you will also learn about scientific investigations, scientific practical techniques, criminal law and examination, and forensic psychology. With a combination of both theory-based and practical units, you will get a real feel for the role of a forensic scientist. As well as classroom-based lessons with experienced tutors and state-of-the-art facilities, you will also receive plenty of opportunity to gain practical experience outside of the College during mock crime scene investigations, where you will use the skills you have obtained to solve a fictional crime. The course will also teach you a number of other important skills such as researching and evaluating data and information and how to effectively interpret, present and report your findings. You will study in our modern laboratories at ncn Basford Hall, with friendly, knowledgeable and experienced tutors to support you and to help you reach your full potential.
