You will study a combination of practical and theoretical modules to ensure you complete the course with a good balance of workable skills, alongside the knowledge and understanding of the trade. The course consists of a variety of units, from the storage and handling of materials; mechanically fixing plaster boarding and selecting materials, components and equipment; to health and safety; scaffolding; laying floor screeds; and fixing and finishing dry lining. You will also cover the following topics: Interpreting information Internal solid plastering Different styles of one- and two-coat rendering systems As well as learning the theory behind the trade, you will also be involved in a number of practical projects to prepare you for the world of work.
