Name: Spanish A Level Qualification title: GCE A Level in Spanish Qualification type: GCE A/AS Level or equivalent Assessment This is a two year linear course, assessed by examination at the end of Year 13. Examinations are as follows: Skills Assessed: The course is made up of three separate papers: Paper 1 is worth 50% of the overall mark and is on Listening, reading, writing and translation into and out of Spanish. Paper 2 is worth 20% of the overall mark and is a 2 hour written paper. Paper 3 is worth 30% of the overall mark and is a speaking exam, lasting 23 minutes (including 5 mins’ preparation time).
