The course is aimed at adult learners returning to education with a view to studying for an honours degree. If you have a broad interest in digital media, but are not sure which subject to specialise in, then this course is for you. You will experience the full range of digital media activities to help you assess your strengths and confirm aspirations for your next step into higher education, or work. This course will teach you key digital media principles, followed by a combination of practical studio projects, workshops and traditional academic learning that will encourage you to experiment with digital technology. You will develop a critical and analytical awareness of digital media, and gain valuable practical skills in media production and use of relevant software. You will build up workbooks that demonstrate how you develop your ideas and record information in your application of creative digital media. You will examine how to apply research and academic rigour to underpin your studio practice. Additionally, you will learn to critically evaluate and understand your own developing skills, abilities and practice.
