Course aimsTo develop the skills to produce a shaped novelty cake. Coating with sugarpaste and decorating it to a professional standard.Learning outcomes:By the end of the course students will be able to:· Cut and shape two sponge cakes.· Coat a shaped cake with sugarpaste· Create cake decorations using a variety of mediums including Royal Icing Sugar paste and modelling paste.· Improve your piping skills· Master a variety of other cake decorating techniques such as patchwork techniques and 2d shapes.· Produce two novelty celebration cakes to a professional standard. Who is the course for?Students who have completed a previous cake decorating course or who have a keen interest in cake decorating or those who have already produced some decorated cakes but would like to improve their skills further.
