This course is for beginners and those who have just started to use a computer and want to know more. The course runs for 7 sessions and there are 8 skills for you to choose from. You can pick and choose what you want to complete over the 7 weeks, so you can spend as much or as little time as you want on each topic. Learn in a relaxed atmosphere and have some fun as well! The skills you can choose from are: 1.Use a keyboard accurately. 2.Use a Mouse accurately. 3.Use a Search Engine to find websites. 4.Use a Browser to navigate websites. 5.Use an email account. 6.Use MS Word to create folders and files and produce a document. 7.Use a USB to find and save information. 8.Use a digital camera to take photos and and upload to a USB (similar to uploading to your own PC at home). You can cover several topics, or, if you prefer, spend several sessions on the one or two skills that are the most important to you - this is a flexible course. Lessons are delivered in the relaxed environment of your local library. Come and learn, enjoy and discover with us! You will increase your confidence when using a computer and learn some new skills. You need to ensure you bring your spectacles for reading and hearing aid if worn. Library computers are used during the course - if you have your own laptop or tablet you may be able to bring this with you to use if you prefer. You must discuss this prior to the course to ensure compatability. Your tutor will set some learning goals with you for each of the topics you choose to study.
