It has over two million employees and makes a significant contribution to the UK economy. It is a dynamic industry and offers many different types of employment. On this course you will get an overall understanding of what the hospitality industry is and job opportunities in this sector. By the end of the course you can expect to complete the following units: Understand what the Hospitality industry is Understand customer service in the hospitality industry Understand front office operations in hospitality Understand how to serve food and drink Understand housekeeping and guest services in hospitality Understand food safety in catering This course is for anyone interested to work in the hospitality industry. No prior knowledge, understanding or skills are necessary. There are no specific requirements for this qualification. Your Tutor will discuss requirements on the course induction day that will be advised when you enrol. text17 On satisfactorily completing all learning tasks and submission of a portfolio of evidence, you will receive a BTEC Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to the Hospitality Industry. You will be able to progress onto additional hospitality courses in different subjects to gain a higher certificate, training in customer service or personal development skills such as time management, self confidence or communication skills.
