Emergency First Aid at Work

A recognised First Aid at Work qualification for those working alone or in a low risk work environment or for those who wish to learn basic First Aid. This course may also be useful for those seeking employment. You will receive hand-outs to take home too. By the end of the course you will be able to: Define the principles of first aid and prevention of cross infection Assess and treat an unresponsive breathing casualty Assess and treat an unresponsive non breathing casualty Recognise and treat shock, fainting & choking Manage and treat a casualty with severe bleeding Effectively treat a burn/scald A good grasp of English and maths will be required to achieve the certificate. You must be physically able to perform practical tasks such as recovery position and CPR. Bring paper and a pen for note taking. Also wear appropriate clothing for practicing the Recovery Position. text17 You will receive a Level 2 certificate in Emergency First Aid at Work, which is valid for three years. You can attend Paediatric First Aid course.You may be able to hold the role as a first aider in your workplace. text19
