The course has been revised to meet the new requirements published by Ofsted in August 2016 and is good for all staff to update their safeguarding knowledge and CPD. The course covers safeguarding legislation; what to include in workplace policies and procedures; safeguarding children with SEN; new reporting guidance for FGM; teaching children to stay safe on line; signs of abuse and neglect; partnership working; dealing with disclosures; implementing the Prevent strategy; ways of building children's resilience; key findings from Serious Case Reviews. The course can be delivered through an interactive I day workshop or through e-learning.
