This four-week course is for people working in the construction industry or those who are involved in repair, restoration or maintenance of pre-1919 buildings. The course is flexible for students who wish to develop particular skills e.g. basic bricklaying, basic stone work, pointing, re-pointing, etc. This course covers: * Uses of lime mortar and its advantages over cement mortar * Bricklaying to a line between profiles * Laying coursed and random stone to a line between profiles * Removal of existing pointing and preparation for re-pointing * Pointing
