The qualification supports the Government drive to empower individuals to make healthy choices, a key focus of which is the need to educate and change behaviour on diet and nutrition to reduce the prevalence of obesity. The course is suitable for learners working in, or intending to work in, healthcare and social care, to give them an understanding of nutrition and health, to support their role in the workplace.
