This qualification aims to help learners develop a general understanding of different types of medication and their use, as well as knowledge of the procedures for obtaining, storing, administering and disposing of medication. The course is designed for those who wish to develop their understanding of safe handling of medicines. This is a knowledge based qualification. You will study the following 4 mandatory units: * Understand medication and prescriptions * Supply, storage and disposal of medications * Understand the requirements for the safe administration of medication * Record-keeping and audit processes for medication administration and storage

You will be allocated an assessor who will support you through the learning process and assess your work, providing advice and guidance. You would be expected to complete the programme in 16 weeks.
