SPORTS COACHING - LEVEL 3

This one year full time course is geared towards a career in the sports and leisure industry or for progression on to a higher level programme of study such as a Higher National Diploma. The Sports Coaching pathway will prepare students for a variety of roles in the Sport and Active Leisure Industry by developing personal skills and qualities needed for a career in the sector, including leadership skills, communication skills and working effectively in a team, personal and group standards and acceptable behaviour for the leisure industry. Students will be involved in practical sport, sports coaching and physical fitness classes in which they will develop their practical knowledge and skills as a performer and coach as well as their own personal fitness and training understanding. The course is suitable for school leavers and adults who would like a career in the Sports Industry or who are progressing from Level 2 Sport.
