This course is aimed at developing the communication skills of anyone who wants to ensure they communicate both positively and with impact. The Customer Focused Communication Skills course is a one day event that will introduce all delegates to the concept of communicating at a conscious level. This course will be participative with numerous group exercises to illustrate learning points and allow you to practice your new skills. At the end of the programme delegates will be able to: * Understand the principles in communicating effectively * Appreciate the impact of self and others * Discover the drivers of verbal and non-verbal behaviour * Understand why people might respond the way they do * Learn to see the world through other people's eyes * Enhance your listening skills and discover the powerful effect this has in forming relationships * Learn about the different types of questions and when to use them * Learn how to deliver a message effectively through a series of practical exercises The course will include: * Barriers to effective communication * Qualities of effective communicators * Perception exercise * Mehrabian's rule * Iceberg model * Listening skills * Quality questioning * Speed of speech * Communication exercises * Personal action planning
