Level 3 BTEC Diploma Motorsport

UPDATED 20170111 12:00:12

The College offers an opportunity to study at level 3 (A level equivalent) for students who wish to develop a comprehensive understanding of motor vehicles - encompassing practical techniques, academic knowledge and technical skills. It is a popular option for both school leavers and successful Level 2 Diploma students. The courses are designed for students who wish to develop a comprehensive overview of the modern motorsport vehicle - encompassing practical maintenance techniques and technical motorsport skills. It is divided into practical workshop sessions, lectures and assignment work, designed to give students a better understanding of the industry. Myerscough College has seven motorsport workshops and a number of different competition cars for the continuing development and expansion of motorsport teaching. We believe that hands-on experience is an important aspect of learning and therefore encourages students to take part in a wide range of motorsport events throughout the UK. The department also now features a brand new motorcycle workshop for the learners on our new motorcycle programme. As an A Level equivalent Study Programme, the BTEC Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma is an ideal spring board for progression to a Foundation Degree or Honours Degree, depending on UCAS points gained.
