The College offers an opportunity to study at level 3 (A level equivalent) for students who wish to develop a comprehensive understanding of motor vehicles - encompassing practical techniques, academic knowledge and technical skills. It is a popular option for both school leavers and successful Level 2 Diploma students. The courses are designed for students who wish to develop a comprehensive overview of the modern motorsport vehicle - encompassing practical maintenance techniques and technical motorsport skills. It is divided into practical workshop sessions, lectures and assignment work, designed to give students a better understanding of the industry. Practical experience is delivered within the course and additional enrichment is obtained by a variety of trips and opportunities afforded to the students. Students will also receive training and assessment in a range of additional qualifications, which will enhance their employability. As an A Level equivalent Study Programme, the BTEC Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma is an ideal spring board for progression to a Foundation Degree or Honours Degree, depending on UCAS points gained.
