Level 3 BTEC Diploma Animal Management - Preston

The College offers the opportunity to study at level 3 (A level equivalent) for students who wish to develop a comprehensive understanding of animal management and biology - encompassing practical techniques, academic knowledge and technical skills. It is a popular option for both school leavers and successful Level 2 Diploma students. The course incorporates a mix of practicals, classroom lectures, industry visits and case study exercises. Students enjoy the wide variety of theory and practical subjects combined with a range of projects and assessments. Students will also receive training and assessment in a range of additional qualifications, which will enhance their employability skills. A work experience placement takes place on one day per week and visits to animal related enterprises form an integral part of the course. The course prepares students for supervisory and junior management positions in the animal industry or for progression to a range of Higher Education degree and foundation degree courses.

A protective boiler suit for animal practical work must be purchased from the Animal Academy at the start of the Academic Year. Laboratory coats / wellingtons / waterproof jacket are also required.
