If your dream job is an exciting, demanding and rewarding career in one of the essential uniformed public services, then this course enables you to study the different services, develop the leadership skills, learn about the impact of war, conflict and terrorism and participate in the physical training which will allow you to progress towards Degree level study or employment in the services. Sport is a significant part of the course. You will take part in team building activities and lots of physical training. Fitness requirements for the services are high and you will be expected to reach the standard of entry for the police service by the end of the course. You will be taught by highly qualified tutors who have many years' experience working in and developing excellent links with the services. You will meet sector speakers and go on visits to the Fire Service, Police Service (including HQ, Operations Support and Riot Training), the Army (Look at Life programmes), Royal Marines and Royal Navy. Residential trips have included London, New York and Cyprus.
