Uniquely placed in a busy and thriving Auction Mart, the Craven College equine facilities provide you with a real working environment. This course prepares you for a management role in the equine sector on graduation through a focus on personal professional development alongside scientific aspects and work in the equine ancillary industries. The unique feature of this degree is the combination of contemporary scientific principles and practical, hands-on training, ensuring that you are successful in both vocational and academic settings. A strong component of the course is work-based learning, equipping you with the skills you need for a successful career in the equine industry. Our tutors are equine professionals in their own right with many years of experience between them and use their links locally to enable you to access a range of specialist input. In addition you will develop a range of personal skills and attributes such as communication, organisation, ICT, referencing and presentation, along with work related skills. You will be required to undertake appropriate work placements and responsibility for supervisory work experience at the College yard.
