This course offers a practical exploration of all aspects of theatre. You will study play texts; participate in performances; create and perform new work. Much of the work is a practical exploration of ideas and theories as well as performances to the public. Assessment is through coursework, performances and written examinations. There are a wide range of trips and workshops for you to take part in including visits to RSC, London and professional theatre companies nationwide. ? As part of your course you will take part in a public performance of an extract of a published play. ? The Performing Arts Academy puts on two public productions a year including a large scale musical and an end of year showcase.
