German A-Level

UPDATED 20170110 14:10:49

The ability to speak a language is a vital skill in today's international world. As Germany is our biggest trading partner, there is a need for fluent speakers of the language to promote our industry abroad. You may also simply be interested to know more about Germany, Austria and Switzerland, to find out for yourself about their history, literature, art and films. Students are encouraged to take part in both exchanges to Berlin and Munich which are offered during their two-year course. You will be tested in reading, listening, speaking and writing skills. One of the A2 modules will include options in Cultural Studies. Two modules are studied in the A2 year and two modules will have previously been covered and examined during the AS year which students must successfully complete before progressing onto this course.
