Italian GCSE

UPDATED 20170110 14:10:45

Italian is increasingly popular for both recreational and business use, and it can be combined with a number of subjects at A level and degree level. A knowledge of Italian increases the opportunities for work and travel abroad. It is possible to do Italian GCSE in a year with no previous knowledge, either in your first or second year. It is taught for a full block (i.e. 4 hours 15 minutes), and the pass rate has been 100% for a number of years. It is an ideal subject to complement your studies of other languages or just to add a more unusual GCSE to your CV. 60% controlled assessments in speaking and writing and 40% exams in listening and reading. There is a visit to Rome open to all those studying Italian.
