This is a two-year course where you will develop practical skills and study hair theory and the science of hairdressing or barbering. You will attend College on a Monday or Tuesday and then work in a commercial salon for the rest of the week. An allocated college assessor will assess you in the salon on a regular basis and liaise with your employer to ensure you receive the required training. You will also work towards achieving Functional Skills qualifications in English and maths.
