The level 2 qualification typically comprises of the following core units: Health, safety and welfare in Construction (this unit can be carried forward from Level 1) and Principles of building construction, information and communication. The following subject specialist units are also studied: Applying plastering materials to interiors, Fix dry lining and plasterboard to interiors, Laying sand and cement screeds, Applying plastering materials to external backgrounds. English and maths will be undertaken, either Functional Skills or GCSE dependant on prior achievement and will form a significant part of your timetable. Employability skills will be developed and learners will undertake external Work Experience as part of their Study Programme.
