This course is available in the second year to students who are studying AS/A2 Mathematics over two years. The course builds on the techniques learnt in A2 Mathematics and provides an introduction to new concepts such as complex numbers and matrices. Applications of mathematics are also studied in the form of mechanics and statistics. Further Mathematics is greatly valued by many universities and is highly recommended for admission to courses in mathematics, physics, engineering and computer science.
