Soft Furnishings

The Soft Furnishings course will include learning how to take measurements of the windows, the tools required for curtain making, choice of fabric and making of curtains and cushions with a professional finish. Space is limited, so we cannot make full sized curtains.The course will be taught by demonstration, lectures and plenty of hands on experience.Students have the opportunity to progress on to other Eastleigh College textile courses. For the first class you need a notebook and pen, sewing machine, sewing kit, scissors/pins, half a metre of furnishing fabric to make a simple cushion thread.
