Wedding Photography Workshop

You will learn about the different approaches to wedding photography currently in use today, i.e. traditional formal; reportage and how to prepare for the day with the bride and groom and establishing what they want and plan the day with them. You will learn how to select the most essential equipment to take with you to photograph a wedding, and when to use it and what to look for in the locations and backgrounds as well as what to avoid. You will learn how to use different camera exposure controls to achieve the best effects for the many different shots you will take at a wedding and understand and how to create good techniques of lighting (including how to use flash), posing of individuals, couples and groups, and expression and the many options for presenting the preview and final images to the clients.Your learning will be assessed at the end of the session by looking at your work during the workshop and the results of the photos taken during the practical sessions. Your downloaded images will be projected onto a screen for the class to see, and feedback given. A college certificate will be issued on request.The college offers a range of Photography courses within the leisure department, as well as a number of accredited courses.
