The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 2 Certificate in Accounting is an ideal starting point for anyone wishing to pursue a career in accountancy or finance, covering a range of foundation accounting and finance skills in five mandatory units. This unit looks at control accounts, journals and methods of payment. Students will work through reconciliation processes and the use of the journal to the stage of re-drafting the trial balance following initial adjustments.This course of study is delivered via distance learning. Included in the cost of the course are text and revision books, specialist online resources, one exam sitting, telephone and email support as well as limited one to one tutor support. This module will be assessed by way of a computer based assessment taken in college.The finance, accountancy, business and communications skills developed in the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting can lead to employment as: Accounts Administrator, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Payable Clerk, Purchase/Sales Ledger Clerk, Trainee Accounting Technician or Trainee Finance Assistant. The accountancy and finance knowledge developed in this qualification is also the underpinning knowledge needed for the higher-level accountancy and financial skills developed in the AAT Advanced and Professional Accounting Qualifications.
