Intermediate Apprenticeship in Facilities Services

Learners will be required to complete four mandatory units: -Reduce risks to health and safety in the workplace -Promote and maintain service delivery -Contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of premises and facilities -Develop customer relationships Then choose from a wide variety of optional units to gain the full qualification. This is a work based qualification completed fully in the workplace. Learners will be visited in their workplace by an Assessor, who will assess them using observation, discussion, portfolio work, and witness statements. -Maintain a safe, hygienic and secure working environment. -Maintain food safety when storing, preparing and cooking food. -Work effectively as part of a hospitality team.Once you have enrolled onto the programme you will be assigned an assessor that will visit you in the workplace regularly. They will complete assessment plans and reviews with you to keep you on target. Assessors will support you in the collection of the required evidence needed for your qualification through different assessment methods such as; professional discussions, observations, written questions, verbal questions witness statements and any assignments. Learners who are employed and have any of the following duties: securing the site, setting up rooms for events, assist with cleaning, site emergency and evacuation procedures, porterage, carrying out minor maintenance repairs, reading energy meters and using the intelligent BMS to control heating and ventilation. Facilities Services allows learners to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the facilities sector.
