L2 Diploma in ICT Systems Support

This course is for you if you are looking to gain the skills and knowledge to undertake a specific ICT support job role. The Level 2 Diploma in ICT Systems Support course is an introduction to the knowledge required to work as a system support technician network support technician or telecoms support technician. It will allow learners who are successful in IT to progress onto a practical IT support course where they can develop their IT skills further and seek employment as junior IT technician or further progress onto a L3 System Support & Principles course. Learners will be required to complete a number of units within an ICT support Environment which will include amongst others - Customer service skills - PC building - Software installation and maintenance - Basic maintenance procedures - Understand the world of Networking. All learners will also get a chance to improve their literacy and numeracy to level 2 either with a programme of study that includes GCSE English and Maths or Functional skills English and Maths. The study programme will include work experience for a week which will enable you to develop your employability skills further as well as study skills where you will complete modules such as Word and Excel to gain the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) qualification.
