T'ai Chi is an ancient oriental art that over time helps revitalise mind, body and spirit through the learning and practice of gentle but powerful energy exercises suitable for all. With individual support as needed, from an experienced tutor, you will begin to feel improvement in muscle tone and general flexibility. This course will introduce you to one of the forms (set sequences of movements performed slowly with precision) with exercises appropriate to your age and state of health. You will be able to acquire a basic proficiency in T'ai Chi through repetition and practice and you will be encouraged to incorporate T'ai Chi concepts to benefit your health and develop mental relaxation. Our courses build on past learning, week by week, to develop new abilities. You will find your progress much easier if you attend every lesson.
