Can't find the perfect hat or you have something difficult to match? It is time to look at the sunny weather and make that special hat to shade your eyes or enhance a spring or summer outfit. On this course you will look at how to start and create your own hat personalised to your own taste and specifications.Traditional and contemporary millinery techniques will be used to make soft and structured hats cut from flat patterns, covered buckram shapes or pre-blocked hat shapes. The classes will cover the construction and styling of hats using a range of millinery materials including felt, fabric, feathers, faux fur and straw. Including an introduction to a range of decorative techniques and methods of professionally finishing hats.
