Sewing - Garment Making & Pattern Cutting

Beginners will be introduced to a number of techniques which will enable them to construct and make a basic garment. Those with some knowledge will have the opportunity to hone their skills and undertake projects according to their suitability, previous knowledge and skills base.All learners will be shown how to take accurate body measurements and use them to adjust the pattern to fit before cutting. Tacking the garment together and adjusting the fit, inserting zips, sewing button holes, making jackets (speed tailoring), inserting sleeves, making collars, cutting checks and one way prints.
