This flexible course is designed for those who have an interest both in art and in practical skills with the idea of combining the two. You will have the chance to learn how to make armatures and model in either clay or another material of your choice Make a mould and cast from a clay model. Prepare clay sculptures for kiln firing. As well as have the opportunity to carve in wood or stone. The tutor will be on hand to turn your idea, sketch or image into 3D reality and give one to one support as well as group discussion on work achieved The overall aim is to build learners confidence and extend the leaner's perception of 3D and how to make concrete their ideas
