This workshop is designed to give learners an introduction to glass fusing and the chance to create a memorable gift or token on a wedding theme or to commemorate a special event. Please bring along your ideas or drawings as these will be discussed and developed as appropriate. It is a good idea to do a little research beforehand and arrive at the class with potential projects or ideas to develop in addition to those that will be suggested by your tutor. The workshop is themed around the weddings, anniversaries and similar celebrations but this is not compulsory. Learners will produce small glass pieces (e.g. hanging decorations, coasters or pieces to integrate in a stained glass panel) and/or some small jewellery items such as pendants, brooches, etc… with a wide variety of glass colours and glass accessories. Pieces will be fused after the course and will be ready for collection from the centre about a week after the course. NB We can only glass fuse, there will be no glass slumping on offer
