UPDATED 20161230 15:49:59

Youth work is a unique apprenticeship and is about developing young people personally and socially. In your role as a youth work apprentice you will give young people new experiences, set them challenges and goals to achieve, and allow them to achieve them in their own way giving them guidance along the way. Every day will be a new experience, your job is to get young people motivated and want to help out and achieve their goals. As every young person is unique your role will vary in many ways, some young people may need to be given counselling, and support, then you will need to organise some fun activities such as football or other games for them to participate in. This is a combined qualification incorporating competency and knowledge, functional skills in English, Mathematics and ICT at Level 1 complete the framework, Employers Rights and Responsibilities and Personal Listening and Thinking Skills are embedded. All of our Apprenticeships are delivered 100% in the workplace, we will attend your location on a monthly basis to meet with your Apprentices, this will include on the job assessments and off the job training in accordance with the assessment plan. We use Smart Assessor e-portfolio to which the learner and employers have access to monitor your apprentices progress. Evidence can be in the form of audio recordings, videos, and photos and in some cases paper based evidence. We provide one to one Assessor contact to support the learner through their Apprenticeship and work closely with the employer to provide individual support and advice on how to support their apprentice; by working closely with all stakeholders we ensure we deliver high quality Apprenticeships.
