This programme is suitable for students wishing to pursue a career in Fashion and progress to a Level 4 course at Foundation degree or University Level. The programme consists of core units such as contextual influences and visual recording as well as specialist fashion units. This course will give you the skills required by fashion designers, including design for womenswear and menswear, styling, fashion illustration techniques, trend prediction, CAD (Computer Aided Design), historical and contemporary research, pattern cutting and clothing manufacture skills. You will design and produce garments for the Fashion Department end of year Catwalk Show. The Fashion Department also runs trips and visits to museums, galleries and exhibitions in the UK and abroad.
