90 Credit Diploma in Applied Science

For people who have a keen interest in Applied Science, in particular biology and chemistry. If you want to gain a range of laboratory practical skills which are directly transferable into the workplace, then the Level 3 90 Credit Diploma in Applied Science is for you. It is a qualification designed to offer the student a choice of routes into Higher Education, Training and Employment. The course is equivalent to 1.5 A-Levels but without the requirement to sit high-pressure examinations. For the 90 Credit Diploma (1 year) you will need a minimum of: i) 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C ii) or a Level 2 Diploma in Applied Science (Merit), iii) or a Level 2 Extended Certificate in Applied Science (Merit), To help your employability skills, the college structures the timetable to allow students who have not achieved grade C in Maths or English GCSE to study it alongside the BTEC L3.
