This programme is for those students who wish to pursue a career in sport and recreation for eg. Working in a Fitness club or Leisure Centre. It is a practical course with some theory in the following areas: Coaching, developing and maintaining fitness, planning and instructing gym-based exercises and dealing with emergencies. The programme covers the following areas: Evaluate coaching sessions and develop personal coaching practice, Support participants in developing and maintaining fitness. Deal with accidents and emergencies, Plan and prepare a gym-based exercise session, Instruct a gym-based exercise session.
