During the course we will show you basic skills in creation of a simple: Throw, Quilt, patchwork cover, memory cushions etc The aim being to help you develop practical skills, whilst also exploring how this can help you make money or improve your employability prospects. We will use domestic sewing machines, so you can practice at home with your own machine - or at least you will have enough knowledge of what to look for if you are going to buy one in the future. We will also explore how people are making and selling 'craft' items on the internet and using social media - so you have ideas about how the skills you are developing can be put to best use as you develop.
