Anyone who has successfully completed the a Getting Started and /or Post Beginners Course or who has studied Spanish for approximately 30 to 40 hours and who would like to develop their speaking and listening and reading and writing skills. This course is particularly suited to those students who have completed a Post Beginner course or to those students with are able to use everyday functional language reasonably confidently at Post Beginner level. A range of speaking, listening, reading and writing tasks and activities. You will cover a wide range of topics. All skills will be covered but the focus of the assessment will be upon reading and writing.The focus of the class is on using the language in a functional context and there will be an element of grammar to support this. By doing a range of reading, writing, speaking and listening tasks, activities and games. You will work in pairs, groups and individually. Your tutor will carry out continual assessment through a range of activities. You will build up a portfolio of evidence for reading and writing tasks. ABC Level one qualification; Reading and Writing Yes. Your tutor will give you further information about appropriate progression routes. Paper and pen and a paper or electronic dictionary An example of topics and language to be covered: Greetings, polite conventions Culture and traditions Talking about holiday plans Going Out Sport and Leisure.
