This course is suitable for those who would like to develop their ability to write and vocally present a script for radio. The live radio presentation part of the course is optional. It will also appeal to anyone who wishes to develop creative writing skills in this area. You do not need any formal qualifications to do the course, but you should have a good level of literacy. You will learn how to write a basic script which could be presented on live radio. The emphasis is on developing both verbal and written communication skills. The course will focus on encouraging individual creativity. You will learn through demonstrations, practical work, group work and class discussion. Your tutor will continually observe and support you and give you regular feedback about your progress. You will compile a simple portfolio as evidence of your learning.
