Healthier Cooking on a Budget

UPDATED 20161222 11:55:36

Learners will make healthier choices in food they buy, cook and eat, and have gained new skills in cooking or in safe procedures for handling and preparing food. They will learn how to cook healthy food on a budget, with lots of information about a healthy diet and nutrition embedded, and functional skills links (eg around weighing and measuring). Courses will be adapted to be delivered to different target groups, eg as family learning to parents and children learning together, to learners with LDD, etc. The course focus could rather than cooking be Food Safety, giving skills useful in the workplace or as a volunteer running lunch clubs etc.
