The course builds on the knowledge and skills developed in the Photography beginners' course and leads to a Level 1 Award in Photography. The course is based on two principle learning outcomes: The knowledge and ability to use the camera to create images. The knowledge and ability to produce manipulated images. Students will be identifying the effects of using camera controls and produce exploratory photographs of a chosen subject. They will then review the aesthetic and technical values of their images. They will also explore a variety of manipulation techniques, and be able to use hardware and /or software to manipulate their own images and evaluate the final photographs.
