Electrical Installations - Level 2 Diploma (EMTA)

The course is aimed at applicants of 16 -18 years of age who have missed the opportunity of an electrical apprenticeship on leaving school or has attended a sixth form education and now would like to pursue a career in the electrical industry.The course provides a balance of practical activities undertaken in the electrical workshops and the necessary theory for electrical installations.On competition you will receive  an Electrical Diploma at Level 2. The course framework is close to the apprenticeship scheme and is designed to prepare students to join an Apprenticeship when the course is completed.As well as gaining a diploma you will develop your employability skills  by undertaking enrichment activities.

Students are required to purchase and bring:Their own steel toe capped safety footwear and a black boiler suit for practical sessions. Pens : Black or Blue Pencils Coloured Pencils Eraser Pencil Sharpener Ruler Protractor Scientific Calculator  eg: Casio <em>fx-83GT</em> (not a mobile phone) A4 Ring Folder A4 Paper Some field trips may incur a small charge to cover the cost of the travel or entrance fees.
