Public Services at Blackpool and the Fylde College is an exciting, active and rewarding course delivered by tutors who are experts in their field, these experts can provide you with all the support and guidance you need to get you qualified and employed or for you to progress onto higher level courses.You will learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities will be both practical and theory based and include where possible vocational experts currently serving in the Uniformed Public Services.You will study the following units:Government, Policies and the Public Services Leadership and Team work in the Public Services Citizenship, Diversity and the Public Services Understanding Discipline in the Uniformed Public Services Physical Preparation, Health and Lifestyle in the Public Services You will also have a dedicated PE practical each week which you must participate in.As part of your Programme of Study, you will also study the following qualifications. You must complete all of these qualifications to be successful:GCSE in English or maths (if you have already achieved a D in the subject). Functional Skills English or maths at an appropriate level , depending on entry grades. Tutorial - you will have a one to one every 4 - 5 weeks with your tutor to assess your progress and set targets Work Experience and voluntary opportunities in an area that fits with your career goals.
