This innovative degree programme has been designed collaboratively with local, national and international employers to provide the knowledge, skills and qualification requirements for higher Engineering Design and R&D roles within the Motorsport industry. The specialist nature of this programme provides graduates with niche skills that allow them to contend for positions with the Motorsport industry's highest profile employers within Motorsport Research, Development, Manufacture and Quality Assurance. Our alumni have forged successful careers with companies such as Jaguar Land Rover, Ford Motor Company, Bentley, Lotus, M-Sport and Westfield Sportscars. Others have opted for postgraduate study, such as Lancaster University's MSc Mechanical Engineering.

Name: Automotive Engineering and Technology (Motorsport) - BEng Hons Degree (Lancaster University) Qualification title: BEng (Hons) in Automotive Engineering and Technology (Motorsport) Qualification type: Undergraduate qualification Assessment All modules are compulsory. This Top-Up is for the Motorsport route, for Autosport see EA1HE119 Summative assessment consists of two exams for modules Dynamic Simulation and Alternative Power Sources. The dissertation module is assessed through the production of an extended dissertation enquiry with an accompanying showcase. In module Race Engine Design Simulation and Analysis an extended year-long project is assessed by means of a correlational prototype project with an accompanying presentation. All other summative assessments consist of coursework activities to include case studies, reports and simulations. Entry requirements

We provide all specialist software requirements, most of which is available remotely providing you have a computer with internet access. You will need to provide your own protective overalls and safety boots for carrying out practical activities in workshops and laboratories. You will also need a scientific calculator and technical drawing apparatus. You should be aware that there may be additional costs to consider such as optional educational visits and photocopying/printing.
