The B.A. (Hons) Sports Studies and Development delivers a range of innovative modules which will prepare you with the necessary skills to embark on a career in sports development. The North West has a rich sports infrastructure, with around 40,000 people employed in the sport and recreation industry. However, skills gaps have been identified in the following areas: Sport specific technical skills; communication; initiative; team working; planning and preparing work; child protection; and first aid. Ambitious graduates therefore will be able to seek employment as sports development officers, club/coach development officers, activity team leaders, strength and conditioning coaches and sports/leisure managers.
